Personal Information:

Martha Sophia Logee was born 8 May 18381. She was the daughter of Burrill and Martha (Steere) Logee. Martha who preferred her middle name Sophia, did not marry early in her life. She lived in her father's household until both of her parents passed away2;3;4. When her mother died in 1874, Sophia was left the major portion of the estate and she was named as executor. In 1880 she was listed as the head of household and shared her home with her nephew, Warren Logee5. In Feb 1880, Sophia's barn in Harrisville, which had been destroyed by fire, was replaced by another6.

In 1900, Sophia was living in the home of her Aunt Narissa Store in Burrillville7. About one year later she married Jerome A. Salisbury8. She was 63 years old at the time of her first marriage. She died in 1922 and was buried in the family plot in Pascoag Cemetery. Her husband does not appear to be buried with her.
