Personal Information:
Mary Logee was born abt. 1830/1832 in Rhode Island, the daughter of Caleb and Sarah (Paine) Logee. Following the separation of her parents in the 1840s she stayed with her mother. The 1850 census listed Mary and her sister, Laura, in Sarah Logee's household1.
On 25 Nov 1852 Mary Logee married Alexander C. Brown in Blackstone, Worcester Co., Mass.2 Alexander was born in 1830. The couple continued to reside in Blackstone through 1870, providing a home for Mary's mother, Sarah Logee3/4. That record listed Alexander's occupation as Carpenter.
Alexander and Mary eventually moved to the City of Providence, R.I.5 On 24 Feb 1908 Mary Brown died of cancer of the kidney6. In 1920 Alexander was still living in the City of Providence with his un-married daughter, Minnie B. Brown, age 597. Alexander died 2 years later on 11 Feb 1922 in the City of Providence8. He was buried beside his wife, Mary, in the North Burial Ground of that city9/10.
