Personal Information:

Sarah Ann Logee was born about Mar 1828 in Rhode Island2. She was the daughter of Caleb Jr. and Sarah (Paine) Logee. Following the separation of her parents in the 1840s, Sarah remained with her mother. By 1850 they were living in Blackstone, Worcester Co., Massachusetts3. On 31 Jul 1854 she married Reuben Thayer in Blackstone4. Reuben and Sarah remained in Blackstone through 18605. In the census of that year it noted that four of Reuben's relatives (possibly parents, an aunt and a nephew?) were residing in his household.

By 1870 Reuben and Sarah were residing in Smithfield, R.I.6 Reuben's occupation was listed in that record as wheelwright. Reuben's family had moved to North Smithfield, R.I. by 1880 and Sarah's mother Sarah Logee was residing in their home as well as Reuben's brother, Samuel7. Reuben Thayer died on 8 Aug 1889 and was buried in Union Cemetery, North Smithfield8. Sarah lived another 15 years, until 8 Mar 1914, when she died in Woonsocket, R.I.9 She was also buried in Union Cemetery10.
