Personal Information:

Duty Everett Caswell was born 1 Sep 1867 at Douglas, Massachusetts1:2. He was the son of John and Elizabeth (Logee) Caswell. On 19 Nov 1889 he married Frances Aldrich at Sutton, Massachusetts by Wilder S. Holbrook, Justice of the Peace. Frances Susan Aldrich was born about 1874 at Sutton. She was the daughter of Moses and Armath Aldrich.

Duty Caswell was a farmer by trade. In 1900 his family was living in Burrillville, Rhode Island3. By 1910 they had moved to Douglas, Massachusetts and made their home in that area until at least 19304;5;6. The census records for his family indicates that he and Frances had at least eight children. Duty E. Caswell died at Douglas on 21 Feb 1965. He was 97 years 5 months and 20 days of age. At the time of his death his home was on Hemlock Street in Douglas. His occupation was given as retired mason. The cause of his death was listed as Cerebral Vascular Accident. He was buried in South Street Cemetery in Douglas.
