Clarissa Logee was born 16 Apr 1840 probably in Guernsey County, Ohio2. She was the daughter of Daniel Logee Jr. and Minerva Emerson.

On 9 Jun 1864 she married David Bales3. David was born about Dec 1839 in Virginia4;5. They spent most, if not all of their married lives in Millwood twp, Guernsey Co., Ohio. Their home was next to Daniel and Minerva (Emerson) Logee. Clarissa's mother, Minerva Logee, appears to have spent her last years in their home6. David and Clarissa Bales were still residing in Millwood twp, just months before Clarissa's death7. Clarissa died on 30 Mar 1920.
