Pleasant Logee was born about 1852 in Missouri2. He was the son of Sylvannus and Elizabeth (Hunley or Fergusson) Logee. Pleasant Logee was a carpenter. He followed the same profession as his father and grandfather. On 30 Sep 1877 he married Emma J. Lee in Madison County, Illinois3. She was the daughter of William and Nora Lee4.
Pleasant Logee often appeared in records by his middle name, Louis. In 1880 Pleasant had moved his family to St. Louis, Missouri5. In that year his brother, Charles, was residing in his home. By 1900 Pleasant's family had returned to Madison County, Illinois and were residing in Wood River township6. Based on that census record "Louis" Logee had left Missouri sometime after 1889. His family remained in Wood River twp. through the year 19107.
On 18 Jun 1912 Emma J. (Lee) Logee died8. The cause of death was listed in her obituary as dropsy and kidney trouble. She was buried in Upper Alton Cemetery, Alton twp., Madison County, Illinois. Her father William Lee was buried in the same cemetery. On 30 May 1919 Pleasant Louis Logee followed his wife in death9. He died in Toledo, Ohio. He was buried in Alton Cemetery, although no tombstone was placed on his grave.
Pleasant Louis Logee had married after his first wife's death10. On 24 Mar 1931 a Dora (Green) Logee, his 2nd wife, died in Toledo, Ohio. She was born 20 Mar 1856 in Marshall, Michigan. She was listed in her death record as the widow of Louis Logee. She was buried in Wakeman, Ohio.
