Personal Information:
Suel Logee was born 5 May 1831 at Sutton, Massachusetts1. He was the son of Leonard and Lucy (Southwick) Logee. When his father died in 1848, Peter Stockwell was appointed as his guardian2. Suel appears to have remained in his mother's household until at or near the time of her death3. In 1852 when his mother died4. Suel was an adult and was appointed as the administrator of her estate.
On 24 May 1853, Suel married Lucinda Marie Young5. Lucinda was born 5 Nov 1828 and was the daughter of Lyman and Lucinda (Martin) Young6;7. Suel Logee was both a blacksmith and a wheelwright by trade8. He lived in Douglas for most of his adult life. He held several town offices.
Suel died on 15 Oct 18959. His cause of death was listed as Locomoter Ataxure but his obituary stated he died of paralysis. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Douglas, Massachusetts. His probate listed his wife Maria and son Herbert as his heirs10. Herbert was made administrator for the estate. Lucinda Marie died 15 Dec 1910 at the home of her son11. When she died she was the last of her parents four children. Her obituary mentioned that she was survived by one grandchild and two great grandchildren. She was a member of Miriam chapter O.E.S. When Herbert died, he was buried with his parents and grandparents in Evergreen Cemetery.
