Ada Taft was born abt. Aug 1874 in Rhode Island5. She was the daughter of Gilbert S. and Ellen Taft. Ada married Charles A. Buxton probably about the year 1894. Charles was born abt. Apr 1872 in Rhode Island.

For many years this couple appears to have resided in Burrillville, Rhode Island6. Charles listed his occupations over the years as Sawer in a Saw Mill, a Farmer, and last as a Laborer7. Charles and Ada had moved to Douglas in Worcester County, Massachusetts by 1930. They were probably living very close to the Rhode Island boundary as their address was listed as Burrillville Rd.

Charles and Ada had five children. Their daughter Esther married a Joseph Silva and in 1930 were residing in Burrillville. In that year two of her brothers were living in their household. Flossie Buxton was teaching school in 19308.
