Elisha Daggett was born about 1834 probably in Glocester, Rhode Island1. He was the son of Seril and Susan (Logee) Daggett. On 23 Jan 1870 he was married to Mary Ann Olney by Mowry A. Phillips, clergyman, in Burrillville2. Mary Ann Olney was born about 1853 in Oxford, Massachusetts, the daughter of James and Eliza Ann Olney.

In 1880 Elisha's family was residing in Glocester, R.I.3 They had three children at that time. On 16 Jun 1895 their daughter Eliza married Arthur E. Lee in Burrillville4.
