Personal Information:

Arthur Wheaton Logee was born 21 Sep 1876 at Killingly, Connecticut1;2;3. He was the son of James Edward Logee and Lucy Wheaton. When his mother passed away, his father was listed as guardian for him in the estate of $744.984. Arthur did not apparently follow in the bakery business. He was consistently listed as a mail carrier in succeeding census records and city directories5.

About 1904 Arthur married Cora Milner. She was born in 1882 in Pennsylvania6. She soon gave birth to three children. The last two being twin sons Donald and Douglas7. Sadly, Donald died within a year.

Arthur and Cora made their home in Danielson. Arthur was of medium height with a slim build. He had blue eyes and brown hair8. Their family  lived for a period at 10 Hutchins St and later at the same home that was his father's at 10 Winter St.9:10;11  By 1930 they had returned to the 10 Hutchins St home12.

In addition to his carrier in the Postal Service, he was a member of the Danielson fire department13;14. He was a vestry man at St. Alban's Episcopal church, a member of the Moriah lodge, Warren Chapter, Montgomery council AF and AM, and a member of the Danielson chapter O.E.S. [Order of Eastern Star]

Arthur died 27 Sep 1956 at the home of his daughter Dorothy Walsh in West Hartford, Connecticut. At the time of his death his son, Douglas was living in Somerville, New Jersey. Arthur was buried in New Westfield Cemetery in Danielson. Cora followed in death on 17 Mar 196315. She died at the home of her son, in Roselle, New Jersey. However, her obituary indicated she had made her home with her daughter, Dorothy Walsh,  in West Hartford16. She had been the principal for the East Brooklyn school from 1923 to 1933. She had also taught at other schools and conducted Americanization classes in Danielson. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was also a member of the St. Alban's church. She was buried in the family plot in the New Westfield Cemetery.
