Personal Information:

Marcius Edgar Logee was born abt. March 1848 at Burrillville, Rhode Island1. He was the twin son of George and Celia (Mathewson) Logee. Following the death of his father in 1852, he resided with his grandfather, Washington Logee2. By 1869 he had moved to the City of Providence, Rhode Island.

On 9 Jan 1869 he was married to Mary Eliza Gleason in the City of Providence by Amasa Howard, Baptist Pastor3. The marriage record listed Marcius' occupation as Laborer. Mary was born 6 Oct 1849 in North Providence, the daughter of Silas and Mercy (Hull Smith) Gleason (not certain if maiden name of mother was Hull or Smith). Marcius and Mary were residing in North Providence by 18754. They continued to be listed in that city in 1880 and 1900 when there address was given as Douglas Ave5;6. In those records, Marcius listed his occupation once as a Teamster and twice as Laborer.

Marcius preceded his wife in death. He was interred at the Providence North Burial Ground on 31 Jan 19167. He was the second person placed in this family lot (Sec 25 Lot# 4080 Grp 25). Mary's mother Mercy Hull Gleason was interred in that cemetery on 13 Apr 19108. At the time the lot was purchased Mary Logee's address was given as 1180 Douglass Ave. The location of the lot in this large cemetery was provided as: "28ft South of Ridge Side Ave, 79ft East  of Spray Ave." Following the death of Marcius, Mary Eliza Logee resided with her daughter Alice Manley9. On 6 Sep 1924, Mary Eliza Logee died of Apoplexy at the age of 74y 11m. She was residing at 24 Fourth St., Providence10. The informant on her death record was her daughter Alice L. Manley. She was laid to rest three days later beside her husband and mother.
