Citizen MURDOCK was born 19 Feb 1822 in Preble Co, Ohio. He was the son of William and Esther (MORSE) MURDOCK1. Mr.Murdock emigrated to Tippecanoe county in 1837, and lived on the Wea plains five years. Here he learned the carpenter's trade, working it three years. He also farmed at this place. In 1847 he permanently settled in Fountain County, Ind. On 31 Oct 1847 he married Jane CAMPBELL, daughter of Albert and Rebecca (BAKE) CAMPBELL (exact marriage date from Hist. of Fountain Co.). Mr. Murdock was a Republican.
Jane CAMPBELL was born 30 Jul 1826. She and her husband appear to have lived in the Fountain Co. area throughout their lives.
